Abdominoplasty in Asheville, NC

Abdominoplasty, also known as a “tummy tuck,” is often reported as one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the United States. This operation addresses excess skin by tightening and flattening the abdomen, although we can also remove additional fat with liposuction. Women who have diastasis, or separation of the rectus abdominis muscles from pregnancy, can have this repaired.

Abdominoplasty can significantly improve body contour at the expense of a scar hidden in the bikini line and around the umbilicus. Variations include the mini-abdominoplasty — which addresses only lower abdominal excess skin — and the extended abdominoplasty — which addresses significant excess skin using an inverted “T” incision.

We often perform abdominoplasty with breast augmentation and/or mastopexy after the effects of child-bearing have settled. Your anatomy, goals, and preferences will determine which procedure is best for you.
